The Manson Family - Calgary Family Photography

Take a look at a sneak peek of the Manson Family photos.  It was a super windy afternoon, but we pulled it off amidst the gale force winds and all the long hair!!

The Kasper Family - Calgary Family Photography

It was the windiest day I've seen in a long time....and who can see the wind? Okay so I couldn't actually see the wind, but I sure could see the effects of the wind!  Gale force winds forced us to a different location for family photos late last month.  But that's the deal with on location photography....you just have to roll with it!

After blowing around Arrowood for a few minutes we decided on a location and had a great time.  I went to college with Wayne and Lisa and walked away from this shoot wishing that I had gotten to know them better at school.  What a blast!  I was laughing the whole time we were shooting.  There were time where they were almost too relaxed in front of the camera, pure ham at times...I loved it!  Lisa is a great friend of my sister and I can see why Nikki loves her!

As we wrapped up the official portion of the shoot I asked if Luci had a white dress in her closet that she could throw on later that evening as I had another shoot to get to.  Sure enough she did and I headed back to their farm to grab a few more images of her out in the field...some of my favorites this year! Enjoy the photos, I sure had a great time shooting them and loved the edits!

This may be one of my favorites from the afternoon.....love LOVE her eyes in this shot!

"Wait....let's pretend I'm an angry store owner and you're trying to get inside as I'm locking up."
There is a whole series of these!!

I'm not too sure that there wasn't a kiss that didn't
involve a leg lift of some sort. :-)

Okay this is one of my favorites too!

Gerren and Leslie Got Married!!! Prince George Wedding Photography

Everyone had been following the countdown....Gerren made certain that everyone in his facebook world was aware of exactly how many days were left until he married his best friend Leslie.  And some days they would post the number of days left within minutes of each other.  Excited? You bet!

I entered Leslie's house with "hello Mrs. Bride! Are you excited?".  My loud greeting in the house was rather overpowering as everyone in the house was completely calm and quiet.  It was peaceful.  Leslie was sitting at the island sipping on some orange juice watching one of her bridesmaids get her hair done.  You see, Leslie is organized (yay!) and was able to soak up every moment of her wedding day.  And what a day it was!

Gerren and Leslie were given a beautiful bright crisp fall afternoon.  The colors were amazing!!  We had a BLAST the whole day.  Gerren and Leslie have surrounded themselves with some great people and we were blessed to be able to spend the day with them.  It was a beautiful moment watching Gerren watch Leslie walk down the aisle towards him.  Truly a moment to remember.  I found myself tearing up at various moments throughout the day, sometimes because of the touching things I saw or heard and sometimes because I was laughing so hard.  It was a great day.  It was nice to return to some favorite locations in Prince George, huge thanks to the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum for opening up and letting us shoot there!  I love it when my couples make suggestions for photo locations, great idea!!  Ginter's Field was full of glorious colors which made shooting so so easy!

Thank you Gerren and Leslie for letting us share in your day.  Your relationship has and will continue to impact so many people, we continue to pray for you and are excited to see how the years ahead will be.  I know you're enjoying yourselves in the Dominican, stick your toes in the sand and take a well deserved break!

Huge HUGE thanks to Lisa Reimer for being my second shooter....just like old times.  Great images and loads of fun!

Enjoy the images!  Party images to come soon!

I couldn't get enough of this location...aren't the colors amazing?

Leslie's wedding weekend schedule, which needed to be interpreted due to the fact that times were written in nurse time instead of the time that the rest of the world uses!  If you look closely she had relax scheduled for 12:30 on Sunday which was when I arrived....and she was!!

Making sure everything was good to go!

 Seriously Leslie. Stunning. STUNNING!
This is what the whole day was like...fun and full of laughter. PS (check out that hot pastor!) Yes....it's Garth!

I love this photo! Pure joy. Right after walking back down the aisle.

The gorgeous bridesmaids working it for the camera.

So...I asked the guys to walk towards me and this is what they gave me...zombies!
After a few tries we they finally got it right!  Seriously though I was laughing so so hard!  Lisa was shooting in another part of the park and was laughing at me laughing.  Tears.

These next two images are some of my favorites in the day...wait...there are lots of those!

 Running to catch the train.

 Sigh.

Aren't they gorgeous?  This was at the end of the shoot and those are real smiles people! Real smiles....not the tired fake ones...real smiles. Aren't they amazing?
 Looking good Gerren!
