This time it's different

So I've moved a few times before, okay I've moved LOTS of times before. Packing? No problem, down to a science, I know how to get the most out of a banana box better than anyone else you know..... AND everything gets a box, or just about everything, even it's it's rotating desktop fan, it gets a box. Boxes....good things.

I've also gotten pretty good at saying goodbye... or so I thought I was. I usually preface my goodbye with, "well, you know we'll be back in two months for grad or vacation or something". That way I'm really not having to say goodbye, but this time it's different. I am coming back, I've got several weddings in PeeG in the next few months so I will actually be back on a specific date.

So why is it different this time? It's different because I'm moving my boys too, before it was just Garth and me and one time a 2 year old. Now I have to explain goodbye's to my 8 and 5 year olds. How can I explain when I don't really do it well? I guess we'll learn next week?

Why else is it different? Although we've had great times at other locations and have made some good friends, our time in PeeG was very very full. Having a baby and raising a toddlers and then taking them to school with your friends definitely connects you in a different way. The last 5 plus years here were ones filled with great joy, laughter, tears, disappointment, challenges and encouragement and I wouldn't trade most of it.

The first time I met any of my friends here was the weekend we came out to candidate/interview for the position. I can still remember that appie night meet and greet party where I laughed soooo hard it hurt and where I learned some veeeeerrrrry interesting things about those would become my closest friends. We have been very very blessed during our time here and will carry many fond memories of times spent together. To be quite frank I do fear that we will never find this magic again... it was a perfect mix likely never to be replicated. But you know what? That's okay actually, I'd rather have it that way. I know that Calgary will bring new friends and new relationships and since I'm a lover of change.... bring it on!

Last night I spent some time with my girls, eating dessert and laughing til I hurt what a great way to wrap up my time here. I will miss each and every one of my girlfriends and the different things they taught me and challenged me on...... thank you and I love you.

And so here I post without a photo... yup me the photographer failed to bring a camera last night to document a great evening. Oh well, I'll just need the next time I'm up.... May here I come!

I miss my camera!

So I know it's been a long time..... a very long time since you've heard from me blog world. Life is racing by rather quickly for me at this time as I'm trying to keep life normal for the boys while packing up our life here in PeeG.

So here is what's going on. The boys and I drove down to Calgary at the start of spring break to visit Garth and buy a house. We did visit Garth and we did buy a house.... we bought a house in 1 day!! I am now back at home packing for our move (which is in 11 days). But I am missing my camera! Thankfully I have a wedding next weekend to spend with my camera. I know the schedule is crazy, but I can't say no to a wedding!!

That being said, the blog will be a little thin for the next little while as I pack, and move my house to Calgary. I'm hoping to post some wedding photos quickly and then get back into the routine of things once I'm somewhat settled in Calgary. And for those of you who know me, I will be rather sleep deprived as I tend to go all out with unpacking and will have my house set up in 2 days!!!

Excitement abounds.

Hellooooo Blog world! It's been more a little while since I last spoke with you!
And a lot has happened since that last time. To make a long story short.... our house SOLD!!!! WEEEEEEOOOOOOOO!
And I'm off on another adventure early tomorrow morning... I'm going shopping! House shopping! But even better than that I get to see Garth for the first time in a month!! A month! A long time! Not something I'd recommend to anyone, although it is true that distance makes the heart grow fonder, it also sucks the very life out of you!
Anyways, we're leaving tomorrow morning and I'll be away from the internet for one whole week! Wow huh? I'm looking forward to it actually.
I'm also looking forward to meeting a great couple for a before the wedding coffee date. Their wedding is the end of this month and I'm excited about sharing in their day.
Well, I'm off to finish packing. I'll see you in a week!
