I like me some new music!

It's a great day to surf the net..... the snow is blowing like a hurricane (90 km/hr is what I've heard on the radio!) so I'm housebound. I've already cleaned my house for all the company that is arriving in the next. Can anyone say Mr. Clean's got nothing on Carly? All together now!

So in the middle of edits and creating a website I surf to change things up. I also am loving I Tunes again today, bought a few songs and then thought I should check out you tube for videos! Well, I found one and I'm loving this artist!

And because I'm still incompetent on this blog site I haven't been able to figure out how to post the video here, just the link. So if you've got a couple minutes, check out Greg Sczebel. He actually performed at our previous church in PG and has evolved quite a bit. Just goes to show you what time, patience and practice will get you. HHhhhhmmmmm.... maybe I should take a page from his book with my photography?

Well, I should get back to the website.... it's coming along nicely, I'm hoping for it to be up soon.

Stayed tuned for updates on what I'm doing here in Calgary, starting to get started!

Enjoy the snow!

Here's Greg's video.... I love his smooth voice! Smooth like peanut butter baby!

Charlie's Angels- ppfffftt!

So Sunday evenings are movie nights in the Koop house, unless we're out visiting friends. So because we don't have many friends, our Sundays are pretty consistently movie nights! (Just kidding, we do have a few friends!) I'm not stuck to one specific genre (yes I said genre.) but usually fall into one of 3 categories, chick flick, action adventure or drama. Do not make me watch horror or sci fi or subtitled movies! Anyways, because I'm a good wife I try to pick action adventure movies and did I ever pick a good one this last Sunday!
We watched 2012 and amazingly Garth was awake for all of it but the first 20 minutes (which is a huge feat, I often end up watching the movie by myself as he snores beside me). I loved the action and suspense and wondering how it was going to end. It would have been even better if they'd had to carry guns around to defend themselves, but alas no such luck in this movie, but it was still great!
Watching these movies does nothing to help my so called savior complex that seems to exist in my dreams. Yup, savior complex. In my dreams. What do I mean? Well in any dream where my family or friends are in danger, I take over and pull out my handy dandy magnum 357 and protect everyone. I either distract the bad guys while they all get to safety OR I find a way to save them all from impending disaster (i.e. tornado, runaway train, etc.). Can anyone say ACTIVE IMAGINATION?

So after watching 2012 can you guess how many lives I've saved? Countless, countless lives were saved all because of me and my gun and quick thinking. Am I not amazing? So one cannot be too surprised that when I get together with my sisters we always have a Charlie's Angels shot taken of the three of us. I know they are against guns, but I'm not an angel am I? I'm hoping that a new photo will be taken this weekend.

Bill and Stacey - Arrowwood Wedding

Garth and I had the pleasure of spending the day with Bill and Stacey and their families last month... I know I know.... that was a while ago! Sorry! I had a few things going on in the meantime.... mainly moving across the Rockies! Anyways, I made a quick trip down to Calgary, shot the wedding and headed back to Prince George on Sunday, loaded our UHaul and drove back to Calgary on Wednesday! Not something I'd recommend, but it was worth it!

I was a little leary at first when I learned of the wedding date given that you never know what is going to happen the end of March..... well I was blown away by the gorgeous day we were given!
Beautiful warm sunny day, little bit of wind to deal with but a great snowless March afternoon!

Stacey worked very hard at planning their big day and did not disappoint! Every detail was thought out and there were no hiccups to deal with at all. She made a very beautiful bride and her smile was radiant! And Bill was the reason for that gorgeous smile. Bill was soooo much fun to watch during the day. He truly wore his heart on his sleeve and it was very evident that he was in love! The emotion he shared throughout the day was a testament to how deeply he feels about his bride.

Big shout out to Holly of The Lily Pad Inc. for the gorgeous foliage for the day. The bouquets were amazing! Her touch was evident throughout the reception hall and church. What a gifted girl! If you are in need of flowers for your special occasion check her out! She did a great job of helping Stacey bring her vision to reality. I hope you got some sleep that night Holly after pulling an allnighter to get ready! It was great meeting you and I hope we meet at another wedding soon!

Thank you Bill and Stacey for letting us join you, we had a great time! I'm sure that your honeymoon was a relaxing time and that you are more than ready to get down to real life and start out together! I hope you enjoy these few photos from the wedding, I'm looking forward to getting the rest to you soon!

I had a great day shooting with Garth it confirmed in my mind that he needs to join me more often as my second shooter as he got some amazing shots and kept us all relaxed! Thanks Garth! I love you!!

Garth got this one and I LOVE IT!!!!

Bill and Stacey own the Main Street Eatery in Arrowwood and we had to include in a few shots.
Stop by for a meal!

I think at first Bill and Stacey were a little skeptical at my choice of the main street for a location, but I'm so glad they trusted me because this was my favorite location of the day!
This is one of my favorites from the day, they had so much fun!

I couldn't resist this classic prairie shot.... I'm a prairie girl at heart and love these wide open spaces!

Has it been a year already?

Wow! Does time ever fly! In many ways.... I know that it's been FOREVA since I blogged, but I've had a great excuse..... I moved to Calgary. I am now settled and ready to get back into the swing of things photography wise.

I've got some big plans ahead and am looking forward to making some connections with some other photographers and start shooting Calgarians! I'm now at the place where I can focus again on my photography and get back to editting, very important since I've got a wedding to finish!

So if you are in need of photos for any special event coming up, be it a wedding, birthday, just because, let me know!!

So back to the regular blogging.....I hope! Because I was busy helping Tysen with his first school assignment ever!... I got delayed in starting my edits from my March 27th wedding, hopefully you'll see those soon! This move really slowed me down!!

Anyways.....

A huge congratulations and Happy 1st Anniversary to James and Cori-lynn! And even just as exciting, they were my first wedding post on this blog.... so I guess that means the blog has celebrated an anniversary too!

James and Cori-lynn's wedding day was a blast and the whole shooting part was so much fun we could have went longer but people did need to eat! Cori-lynn worked it hard for my camera and the edits came out a-m-a-zing! So congrats you two, lots of plans ahead for this next year I hope this 2nd year is better than this last one!
