How I need to make it my goal to wear one of these!!

I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours with the gorgeous hair pieces from EV Stenroos, two beautiful models (Jen and Cheryl) and the ever lovely Trena of Trena Laine.  What a great morning we had!  I don't often find myself dressing up to go out for a night on the town but if I did, these hairpieces would be amazing!  Okay....truth time...I don't ever go out for a night on the town, unless you count going to a Flames game and then these pieces would just make me really stick out in the sea of red.  Nope.....no hair pieces at the Saddledome!  But.....for a date night?  Huge possibilities!  Hhmmmmm...... thinking I need to plan a date so I can wear one!

EV Stenroos (Elinoor) designs jewellry....beautiful jewellry so check out her site and start making that wishlist....I have....Mother's Day isn't too far away!

Actually these would also be great for weddings! Instead of the standard veil?  Try out one of these!

If you're interested in the hair pieces, contact Elinoor here.
If you are loving the make up, contact Trena here.
And well, the models?  They are both in relationships so I can't help you there!  But gorgeous huh?  I kept pinching myself to remind me that I wasn't at a Covergirl shoot!

Okay...so I LOVE this shot!  Not too sure why...but I do and had to include in my faves!

How Great Thou Art

So....it's Easter Monday...I'd been tossing around a few thoughts to put onto my blog about how important this time of year is....the suffering, death and glorious resurrection of Jesus and then I came across this link.  If you've read my blog before you know that music plays a big part of my life. I love it....it's a big part of everyday, I've always got something playing.  Well....I could go on about how awesome my God is (which I will at another time) but I think that this clips covers what I was going to say anyways and she sounds a whole lot better than I do!!!

Sure could have used their help when I needed invitations.....Sorella Invitation Design

Over 18 years ago Garth and I drove from Caronport to Saskatoon to check a few things off our wedding to do list.  The very first thing we checked off that list was our wedding invitations.  Now you need to know that I am a list person and describe myself as being organized...now.  I wasn't so organized back then, I had a mental list of things I knew I needed to do for our wedding and invites was one of them. So we went into a design/consult at a invitation store having absolutely NO clue what we wanted!  I don't think I even had my wedding colors picked out yet.....sigh...out comes my indecision again!  Anyways, after about an hour and half deliberation (which was killing Garth by this time) we decided to go with a simple white card, gold printing and plain envelopes.  Simple enough and in hindsight it did suit us.  I just wish I would have known Stephanie back then!

Take a look at the work that Sorella Invitation Design pulls out on a regular basis.  The paper, the design the little extras....wow! The creative process that goes into these invitations is crazy!  They think of everything and if you aren't into the creative side, no worries....they've got you covered! Not only are the invitations top notch, but these designers are a blast to boot!  Seriously....get a consult with Stephanie, go for a coffee and laugh!

I'm sooooo looking forward to the other half of this photo shoot.....faces!!!!

Holding on to those last days of winter

I'll admit it.....I'm not a winter girl.  I recall my grandfather one time mentioning that he could live in Phoenix in summer and still find things cool.  Me?  I guess I'm kinda like my grandpa in that manner.  BUT.....I am married to and mother to some hockey nuts which means that I spend a great deal of my winter travelling from arena to arena sitting on cold bleachers downing gallons of Starbucks flavored lattes.  It also means that in order to spend time with my guys I had to take up skating again. We took a quick trip to Canadian Tire and purchased my very first pair of boys skates.  Nope....no picks on my new skates.....had to learn how to skate and stop all over again!

By the end of our first 2 hour skating session I was burning up the skating only ice surface practicing drills I'd been watching all winter long.  Can I lace em up and join the boys on the hockey only rink?  Not yet, but I'm thinking that I'll use this summer to do some dry land training and then.....WATCH OUT!!!!!

These were taken earlier this year on one of our forays to the outdoor rink.....please note that I was NOT wearing my skates while shooting these....no way would I ever endanger the life of my Nikon!!!
